From Biotech to Telecomm and Everything in Between.

EPI offers engineered solutions for in-line cleaning and drying systems. The various technologies include automated conveyor systems guided by programmable logic controllers and graphical user interfaces, to ensure reliable operation and process traceability.

Acetone / IPA Liquid Vapor Degreasers

EPI Flammable Solvent Systems are designed to function with a multitude of solvents. These units incorporate separate software/hardware control systems and sensor redundancies to ensure ease of operation and personnel safety. This core design supports NFPA, UL and CE standards.

Standard unit features include:

  • PLC controlled operation for programmable process sequencing

  • Robotic transfer to eliminate operator handling

  • On-board, battery backed, CO2 fire detection/suppression system

  • Automated lid operation for safety and performance

  • Vapor detection and solvent isolation in case of leak

  • Filtered solvent recirculation to minimize usage

  • Automated solvent fill for uninterrupted operation

  • Ultrasonic agitation to ensure maximum cleaning effect

Solvent Degreasers

EPI's family of vapor and liquid degreasers are engineered to provide advanced yet low-cost cleaning and drying solutions. These systems are constructed from high-grade stainless steel and/or Teflon materials and include features required to satisfy NESHAP requirements.

Standard units include:

  • Horizontal sliding lids

  • Freeboard in excess of 125%

  • Automated lid with seal closure

  • Primary and secondary cooling coil assemblies

  • Programmable de-icing feature for secondary coils

  • Superheated vapor stage

  • Water separator with optional desiccant drying system

  • Recirculation with filtration

  • Internal robotic transfer for "hands-off" product handling

Custom Solvent Degreasing System

EPI has the engineering experience to design and build systems to satisfy your specific process requirements. Features typically provided in custom engineered degreasers include PLC controlled functions that are settable and selected via a remote operator interface touchscreen. This screen provides access to operation and maintenance setpoint parameters, and manual controls for system troubleshooting. Remote communication modules are available allowing facility-to-tool or tool-to-tool interfaces. A programmable, internal robotic system transfers product through a multi-stage cleaning and drying process and can be designed to interface with facility automation to simplify the loading and unloading of product, requiring minimal or no human contact.

Other features typically included are:

  • Multiple recipe selection

  • Timed spray sequencing

  • Robotic product agitation

  • Automated product staging

  • Integrated Ultrasonic or Megasonic Cleaning

  • Automated tank lid or load/unload platforms

  • Fully sealed process environments

  • Electropolished stainless steel and/or Teflon build materials

  • Automatic chemical feed or drain systems

  • Close-loop filtration and distillation

Solvent Stills and Reprocessors

EPI manufactures several different distillation units for degreasers and high purity solvent reprocessors, within the precision cleaning marketplace. These units minimize cost of ownership by reducing overall solvent waste, within most all customer processes.

These systems include the following features:

  • Reservoir for contaminated solvent

  • Automated solvent feed and reclamation

  • Recirculation and filtration

  • Programmable logic controllers for reliable and versatile process control

  • Communication ports for linking several cleaning and distillation units

  • Multiple plate distillation technology to support all purity ranges

  • Operator interface touchscreen for process engineering and maintenance
